About

I teach undergraduate and graduate level courses addressing language and literacies in early childhood, elementary, and middle grades programs.

I research the workings of literacies, including pop culture and digital technologies, to enhance classroom instructional practices.

I also research adolescents' and adults'identities and subjectivities through their literacy interests.

I am co-editor of the Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy with Emily Skinner.
